National Public Lands Day at Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park

team up for National Public Lands Day!

WHEN?     Saturday, September 30, 9 am to 12 noon
WHERE?    Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park – 500 Wonderwood Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32233. Tell
the ranger at the front gate that you are there to volunteer. Free admission for all
volunteers. Meet and sign in at the front parking lot.
WHAT?   Volunteers of all ages are needed to assist with:

 Beach and dune cleanup
 Disc golf course maintenance
 Invasive plant removal

WHAT TO WEAR/BRING? Wear closed-toed shoes and
comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty. We
recommend that you bring work gloves, sunscreen, bug
spray, a hat, sunglasses and a water bottle.
PROVIDED? Work gloves, trash gloves, trash bags, insect spray, and water.
A special thank you to REI who will also be providing snacks, swag, and T-shirts!!

Volunteers must follow all park rules and policies as well as promote and exhibit safe behavior at all times.
Children under 16 must be supervised by their parent/guardian or scout leader during the project. Anyone
under 18 years old must have signature of parent/guardian on liability waiver prior to starting work; waiver
can be obtained in advance from Felicia Boyd, Timucuan Parks Foundation, 904-463- 1799 or
